Description:
Laurel Oak is a large tree that grows to approximately 50 to 70 feet
tall and 30 feet wide. The leaves are deep green and narrow; both sides
are shiny. Leaves are about 1 1/2 inches in length. There is no seasonal
variation in color, but is partially bare in winter. Has a life
expectancy of approximately 50 years. Originally from the Southeastern
US. Maintenance: Low water, but tolerates irrigation up to 3 times per week. Needs no irrigation after well established. Light: Light shade to full sun. Soil: Wide range. Salt Tolerance: Low |
